HQH Steel Chino is a 2021 Grullo roan gelding.  He is out of our HQH Steel Saber and one of our best mares, HQH Tracie by Smoky Music Too.  We have kept many of HQH Tracie’s geldings for our saddle string as well as one standing stallion.  Her foals have a lot of speed and athletic ability, combine that with the talents passed on by HQH Steel Saber and Chino should be a rockstar.  He is friendly, respectful and good to work with.  He is excellent with his feet and he leads, loads and trailers well.  He has spent two summers running free in the mountains of Kilgore.  He knows how to take care of himself in a wire pen and gets along with other horses well.  Chino is a gorgeous color and very unique.  He has a kind eye and I love working with him.  Our Saber foals are some of the best, I ride Saber as my daily rider and he is a big motor horse and very willing.  He loves speed and handles light and easy.  He is a dream to sort cattle on and walks out nice with the fastest flying trot I have ever ridden.  There is no reason that this colt shouldn’t be just like his sire.  This colt is big and ready for a job!

He sells in our Annual Premiere Prospects Online Auction. We are offering 20 head of ranch raised quality Quarter Horses on Saturday, June 24, 2023 with a live preview on Friday, June 23rd. The preview starts at 10 a.m. at the Ranch, 2752 E 2200 N Hamer, Idaho 83425, a steak lunch will be provided. Sale horses can also be viewed on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Winning bidders may pick horses up immediatley following the sale.
